IP Network design
Design of a deployable information and communication system for international operation. This ‘plug-and-play’ network uses OSPF, BGP and PIM Sparse mode to support IP Unicast en Multicast applications. The WAN connections uses satellite and radio links. By using various QoS technologies, Voice over IP and Video applications are supported. This project was decorated with the ‘network centric warfare award’ and the ‘Cisco innovation award’.
Priming and staging tool
Design and realization of an IOS/PIXOS configuration management system. This system is based on UNIX scripting and is capable of generating configuration files based on templates.
Research of IP Multicast tunnels
Research and development off IP Multicast tunneling over IP networks. Special considerations are QoS in the carrier network and efficient bandwidth use. Evaluated technologies; mVPN (Multicast VPN’s) and DMVPN (Dynamic Multipoint VPN).
Lab management
Reorganizing and building of a full scale lab environment, existing of 150 routers, switches firewalls and VoIP devices. Also the building of various out-bound access networks.
Datacenter application relocations
Preparing, managing and checking of various network changes to move business application server to other datacenters. Final goal was the migration of multiple datacenters to one new one.
Design and implementation of a firewall cluster
The development of a Checkpoint Firewall-1 cluster based on the RS/6000 platform in combination with Cisco switches/load balancers. Including, state-table synchronization, time-synchronization and redundant logging.
Wide area network design
Design of a WAN too service EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) and data applications for a large te retail organization in the Netherlands and Belgium.
Relocation and merging 3 offices
Project management and technical lead of relocating 350 ICT workplaces in three offices to one new office location. Including WAN connections and mission critical applications. The relocation was executed during one weekend.
Installation technical infrastructure newly build office site
Design and project management of all office network facilities. Containing LAN components, workplace outlets, cabling and main- and satellite computer rooms.
